Jenerous: A Not-For-Profit Company

Being ethical and putting people above profit is at the core of Jenerous’ ethos and purpose. Jenerous is a social enterprise business, set up to support individuals and communities in India, through the production and sale of ethical clothing.

At Jenerous we re-invest all profits from the sale of our products back into the business, enabling us to create more empowering work for our partners. We also give 10% from every purchase to support various charities that are transforming lives. Find out more about our social impact here.

Jenerous is registered as a CIC (Community Interest Company) which is a form of business often used by enterprises with a social purpose. We’re a registered Social Enterprise with Social Enterprise UK, and with the Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF). As a People and Planet First verified organisation it means:

Our Ethics

At Jenerous we believe in looking after the people in our supply chain and treating everyone with a fairness and respect they deserve. We work with Fair Trade and ethical suppliers in India, ensuring that the people who make our clothing are paid fairly and have safe working conditions.

We believe in equality and offering training and work opportunities that empower people from low socio-economic backgrounds, especially women. We believe that fashion can have a positive impact by creating empowering and fair employment.

Over time we would like to increase our social impact as we continue to grow and gain further accreditation that supports our ethics.

Giving Back

As our brand name suggests we are a brand that gives and we give back from every purchase to support our producers in India and donate to charity projects. Our customers know that their purchase really does make a difference.
