An artisan hand block prints a length of fabric in India
Whilst in India in January 2020 we developed some new scarves, made from lightweight organic cotton. We've collaborated with our print studio in Bangalore who have created some beautiful prints for us. The scarves have been sewn in our Fairtrade factory providing simple work for employees that are still learning to sew. There are three designs to choose from, a gold linear stitch design and a silver geometric print, both on a deep indigo base, and also an aqua and teal dot print on a white base.

How Jenerous is Supporting Their Producers In India
During the Covid-19 Pandemic our Fairtrade factory in India is closed, which means that our team are unable to work. All profits from the purchases of our new scarves will go directly to support the employees at our factory in Bangalore via their crowdfunding campaign. Each scarf purchased provides an employee with 2 day's salary, enabling them to pay their rent and buy food sufficient for themselves and their extended family.
One of the workers, Ammu recently said that the money she has received from the crowdfunding has been the only lifeline for all of her extended family. Her husband, sister's family of four and her brother are all out of work, and they also support their ailing grandparents.
