Giving back from sales - Saris being distributed to women suffering with leprosy in India

Jenerous is an ethical fashion brand that was founded based on the desire to make a positive difference in developing countries. At the heart of our brand is giving back and supporting those in need.

Jenerous’ Impact So Far

That's why we are excited to share with you how Jenerous has made an impact this Christmas.  From the proceeds of our first seasons sales we have partnered with a charity organisation in India, to give new clothes to women this Christmas.  These women live in a community of people who suffer from leprosy.

The idea of starting Jenerous began when I visited India in 2007 on a short career break.  I worked as a volunteer at a school and womens empowerment centre in Delhi. Seeing the extreme poverty and need for work opportunities, I decided to use my skills and experience as a fashion designer to help bring about transformation and freedom from poverty.

By partnering with Fairtrade and ethical suppliers we are providing fairly paid, safe and empowering work opportunities. As well as this impact we also give back from sales.

As a non-profit organisation we are also committed to supporting those in need through the sales of our Jenerous clothing. We hope that this is the first of many charitable projects that we will support over the months and years to come. You can see our up to date impact so far here.

Every Jenerous Purchase Changes Lives

If you have bought one of our dresses we want to say a massive thank you for being part of making our vision a reality.

Every Jenerous purchase;

  • Supports Fair Trade fashion

  • Provides fairly paid work and safe working conditions

  • Gives back to support people in India

If you are yet to purchase one of our dresses, we would love for you to consider doing so, and helping us to continue our mission of using fashion as a force for good.
